If you’re anything like me, awards season gets tedious really fast. I literally have to look up the difference between and Emmy and a Grammy if I anticipate either topic coming up in conversation. Their only saving grace is, of course, the fashion!
The Worst of The Oscars:
Do I need to even bring up Angelina Jolie? As if I needed another reason to hate her, her weirdly-protruding leg is almost more famous than she is.

Angelina’s leg in Pirates of the Caribbean

Sandra is like the polar opposite of Angelina- i.e. NOT husband stealing, but I’m sorry to say on the red carpet they both shared the misfortune of being some of the worst-dressed. Sandra’s dress looks more like a two-toned Snuggie than a high-couture dress, and the gold accents aren’t really working for me.

Emma Stone: Sorry to put you on here girl. I’m usually a big fan, I really am. But I have to be objective, right? That high collar really freaks me out and pink with red hair is just screaming for trouble. Gwenyth Paltrow, Rooney Mara, and Shailene Woodley all wore white. I am almost always against wearing white because it’s impossible not to look like a bride-to-be.
Gwenyth Paltrow managed to pull off white pretty well, though I’m not really sure what’s going on with that cape.

Rooney Mara looked ethereal wearing white-in a creepy, ghost-like way
Conversely, Shailene Mara, who is super skinny, looked kind of boxy and Star Wars-esque in white. The Best of The Oscars:
Michelle Williams: It’s almost passe to put her on this list, as there’s almost no dispute that she looked simultaneous gorgeous and adorable in this coral dress.   Stacy Keibler- My life will be complete if I ever find a dress that fits me this well. (Though I doubt that will ever happen considering 95% of my dresses are $15 purchases from Forever21.)

Milla Jovovich was the exception to my “avoid white at all costs” rule this year, as she looked stunning and classy with a vintage look.
Emma Stone could take some fashion lessons from fellow red-head Jessica Chastain, whose black and gold dress looked fabulous with her hair. Also, is it just me, or is this the same dress Blair wore to her prom in Gossip Girl?
The Grammys-
Half of the time, I wasn’t sure if I was watching an awards show or a Halloween Parade.
Fergie…Girl, I don’t care if you had the time of your life and you owe it all to this dress, orange lace shouldn’t even be in existence, especially when it’s completely transparent and paired with black underwear, creating the illusion of a Salvador Dali tiger, or something.
Gaga looked fairly tame for, well being Gaga,(except for that whole face-lace thing) but no worries, Nicki Minaj wasn’t letting the shock factor slide.

Amber Rose clearly chose to dress up as a canary this year.
On the other hand, Adele and Corrine Bailey Rey both looked beautiful in black.Esperanza Spalding’s multicolored dress is kind of eccentric, but she made it work really well.
Move over Beyonce, there’s a new Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowlands, working the red carpet.
