Frozen Purple Cow

Episode 8: Frozen Purple Cow: Party Rockin’ with Cows

What up Homeslices? This week’s show is dedicated to America’s oldest teenager, Richard Wagstaff Clark aka. Dick Clark. Born in Bronxville, NY, he hosted American television’s longest-running variety showAmerican Bandstand” from 1957 to 1987 and “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” on ABC since 1975. This past Wednesday, he died of a heart attack at 82. Therefore, this week I feature artists who have performed on his annual New Year’s special. Dick has said, “Music is the soundtrack of your life.” So true. Without music, this show would not exist. During one special, he also said, “It’s real good to be back with you again this year. You and I have been a part of each other’s lives for so many New Year’s Eves that I wouldn’t have missed this for the world.” We will greatly miss him. “For now, Dick Clark … so long.”
