Are you like us? Obssessed with kooky teen comedies, especially if those comedies are also musically theatrical? Glee has answered the prayers of Pegleg, Moonfish, PJ, and Trash. We just can’t get enough; unfortunately the producers just aren’t listening to our crazy voicemails about what songs they should be playing — poor fools, probably think they know better than a bunch of seasoned pirates. At any rate, enjoy our final playlist of the semester. We’ve had a blast as members of Slope Radio for the last few years. Many thanks to our listeners, fellow DJs, and Slope Eboarders. We’ll miss our time in the studio.

in love and rage,

Like a Prayer – Glee Cast Version

The Golden Bros

Hello again. This week we pay homage to all those bands with absurdly long names: the “and the’s!” For example, what would Derek have been without the Dominoes, how about Martha Reeves without the Vandellas, Bleh! They would have been despicable, that’s what!

Here’s what we played:

Only wanna be with you – Hootie and the Blowfish

Dancin’ in the streets – The Mama’s and the Papa’s

Rosalita – Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

Witchy Woman – The Eagles who were originally known as the Teen Kings and the Emergencies! WHAT???

Good Vibrations – Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch

Piece of my heart – by Janis Joplin and Big Brother and the Holding Company (2 ands!)

Everyday People – Sly and the Family Stone

Layla – Derek and the Dominos

The Golden Bros go CRAZY and do WHATEVER THEY WANT!!!! It’s the Golden Bros Hodge-Podge Episode.

WE can’t tell you what we played because we don’t remember!

It’s terrible really, but I think Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues were happening. Perhaps Diana Ross was involved. It was great!
