That Show That Reid Put on His Back and Carried to Victory
April 10, 2012 —Hey PHUCT fans,
So today was cover week. I honestly had a vague idea what a cover song was – the songs I picked were collaborations as Sean said so that’s basically why I did not have any of my songs played. In retrospect, I think that’s why Sean and Eileen made me DJ the whole show – sorta as a form of punishment for not bringing in any songs. Then again I’m sure they’d say otherwise if you asked them. In case you didn’t get the chance to listen, it was a really good show. I got the chance to hear a ton of good music that I otherwise would of never heard (which basically happens every week: but who’s noticing?). Listen in during future shows for more awesome themed days!
Unfortunatley, because most of the songs were in fact covers – they are not featured on Spotify so don’t go looking for a playlist this week. In addition Sean forgot to write the order of the songs in which they were played so here is a list of songs in no particular order:
Your Song by Ellie Goulding (Elton John)
Where is My Mind by Nada Surf (The Pixies)
VCR by the Antlers (The XX)
California Sun by The Postelles (Joe Jones)
Halo by Florence and the Machine (Beyonce)
Into the Black by Chromatics (Neil Young)
All My Friends by Franz Ferdinand (LCD Soundsystem)
Skinny Love by Birdie (Bon Iver)
No Surprises by Regina Spektor (Radiohead)
Smells Like Teen Spirit by Tori Amos (Nirvana)
Midnight City by The Knocks (M83)
Since U Been Gone by Tokyo Police Club (Kelly Clarkson)
Feeling Good by Muse (Some Broadway Show: Wikipedia it por favor)
The Cave by Alex Winston (Mumford and Sons)
Like a Prayer by Lavender Diamond (Madonna)
Hope you all enjoyed!
Best,
Reid
