No, it’s not just a color! GOPiNK is an organization focused on the education of teenagers on Breast Cancer Awareness. In addition to learning about the cause, the group focuses on giving young adults way to support the fight for Breast Cancer. For the last couple years, the Cornell GOPiNK Chapter has hosted a Gala in the Fall. If you’re not convinced yet, here are a few reasons to get you excited for the event!

Cornell’s GOPiNK chapter was founded in 2013, and since then has raised over $105,000 for Breast Cancer Research at New York Presbyterian Hospital. With such amazing progress in just a few years, imagine how your support could impact the greater community.

Here at Cornell, there are only a few occasions that allow you the opportunity to dress up. Take this opportunity to feel fabulous in your favorite pink dress or tie!

Snap a picture in front of the GOPiNK step & repeat. Regardless of what grade you’re in, nothing is better than having a photo of you and your friends as a souvenir of the fall semester!

In the past, the GOPiNK galas have been filled with people dancing, amazing decorations, and great music. There’s no better way to spend your Saturday night than with all of your friends dressed up!

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. This means that over 220,000 women and about 2,150 men will be diagnosed in the United States each year. Supporting the cause means helping your mother, your grandmother or your brother find the cure for Breast Cancer!
