5 Things You Didn’t Know About the 2015 Student Assembly Presidential Candidates

Author: Zoe Zaneteas

It’s down to the wire – not just for those of you cramming for prelims, but also for the Student Assembly presidential candidates. At this point, you know their platforms, their politics, and their goals – but do you know the individual behind the campaign? Here at Slope Media, we’ve reached out to Juliana, Matthew, and Jeff to find out who they are — not only as potential leaders of our student body, but as Cornell students as well.

Favorite show to binge-watch? (on Netflix or ‘through a legal source of your choice’)

Juliana Batista: The Mindy Project.

Matthew Stefanko: The Office or Grey’s Anatomy

Jeff Breuer: Parks and Recreation, much to the chagrin of my roommates.

Favorite Cornell study spot?

Juliana: A hidden couch on the fifth floor of the Johnson Museum.

Matthew: If you know me, you know the answer: second floor of Olin Library.

Jeff: The A.D. White Library in Uris.

Starbucks order? (Here at Slope, we believe that an individual’s coffee choice is HUGE.)

Juliana: Dirty chai double shot.

Matthew: Large dark roast, black.

Jeff: Small hot chocolate. Order hasn’t changed since I was four years old.

Guilty dessert pleasure?

Juliana: Dark chocolate molten lava cake.

Matthew: Dark chocolate cake.

Jeff: Anything with peanut butter from CTB’s pastry case.

Most fascinating class you’ve taken here at Cornell?
