Slope Media Group’s Guide to Being a Better Ally

A message for our readers and writers:

As we state in our mission, Slope Media Group is a campus leader on sharing the student perspective on “everything that matters to the Big Red community.” With that said, a keystone of what matters to us and our community is making sure that we are working everyday towards listening, learning, and celebrating the voices of our Black writers and readers.

We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement now and forever. We will not be silent nor complacent. Our country has mistreated and ignored Black people for centuries and it is time that we as Slopers and Cornellians openly and loudly advocate for the Black members of our community. We are working on placing a permanent guide on our website. It will serve as a reference for resources and guidance on how we can continue educating ourselves, in hopes of becoming better peers, friends, citizens, and allies. Please email any of our E-Board Members suggestions/changes- this is a working document and we are listening.
