So recently I’ve been pretending that I’m a hipster. What that means is that for the past week all of my free time has been spent reading Nylon magazine. By following them on twitter I’ve also noticed that Nylon is a SICK provider of free music. Legit they have tons of free stuff – check it out. So in honor of my new status as a wannabe-hipster (I know lots of people who would probably kill me for that last phrase) I have decided to devote this week’s show to Nylon magazine. That means that everything here has a connection to something I’ve read/seen/heard/downloaded from the hipster bible.
First I’ll explain my pictures. I found this cool shirt on Nylon when I was looking for clothing that would help me fit in with their clientele. I thought it was interesting. ‘Nuff said. I also read an entire article devoted to these glow-in-the dark sunglasses. Thought they were cool too. Then there’s the swirly picture of Passion Pit. I saw them live over winter break and they were FANTABULOUS and this picture is rather psychedelic so I thought Nylon would appreciate that.
